OBASANJO'S HYPOCRITICAL GRANDSTANDING.

Obasanjo is a master of political doublespeak and a capo di tutti capi when it comes to hypocrisy.

He is always everywhere talking and visiting governors who are getting positive reviews in the media.

This is always a well orchestrated pantomime just to enhance his Obasanjo's appetite for self-aggrandisement.

However, when a proper dissection of his statements during these visits is put under the critical thinking telescope, it becomes obvious that the contents of such statements are hollow audio Vuvuzela of nothingness and hypocritical balderdash.

I read in the new about Obasanjo's recent congratulatory visit to Alex Otti, where he was reported to have said payment of pension to former governors and deputy governors is outrageous, a daylight robbery and he further expressed the hope that other states governor would do the same by repealing the obnoxious law given such unsustainable advantages.

There is no flesh on the skin of Obasanjo's statement, since all he said was a rehash of what Nigerians worldwide have been asking for vehemently.

I wonder, what would be Obasanjo's position concerning this provision in the constitution "Any person who has held office as President or Vice-president shall be entitled to pension for life at a rate equivalent to the annual salary of the incumbent President or Vice-president"

If Obasanjo can go on a jamboree, triumphantly, congratulatory visit to Alex Otti on the above subject matter in respect of the states, it's incumbent on him to take his triumphalism and congratulatory dance to the National Assembly with a bill for the repeal of the above-mentioned provision in the constitution of Nigeria.

It is time for Obasanjo, a man who lives in a glass house to throw stones so that the shackles of unsustainable advantages he and his friends have been enjoying be broken.

If he refused or show no courage on this path, then he would be playing to the gallery. Hypocrites are demagogue, master of rhetorics for self advancement.
