JOURNALIST HANGOUT: HANGING OUT WITH PROPAGANDIST IN A NON-EXISTENCE EXISTENCE.

''Here's a nation, one of the founding pillars was freedom of speech and freedom of expression. And yet, we have imposed upon people restrictions on what they can say, on what they can think. And the media is the largest proponent of this, crucifying people who say things really quite innocently.''- Ben Carson

Pardon the superfluity and logical contradictoriness of the title of this treatise It was instigated by statements made on Journalist hangout that baffled me to the extent that I was speechless momentarily.
My bewilderment arose from a panelist comment that the existence of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II depends on Northern elites? I wonder what to make of such a statement within the purview of meaning, conceptual analysis and interpretation because I do not agree with a statement tending towards negation of being.

Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II existence is not predicated or contingent on any person, group(s) or politicians. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi exists outside the traditional title of Emir and since he has alway existed before he was coronated sure he will be a being in existence beyond the Emirship. Even though he is no God, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II existence extends ad infinitum historically speaking here.

What a miserable life for anyone to acknowledge that their existence depends on another human being or group(s) of politicians in the corridors of power. What is it like to acknowledge just like our panelist did on live television that he lives at the pleasure of another human being interpretatively NON-EXISTENCE EXISTENCE.

This is unfathomable for me given the fact that existence is the totality of consciousness inherent in an individual how then can an individual claim that the totality of consciousness inherent in himself is at the pleasure of something outside himself another human being in the case of our panelist.

I want to say here that Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II existence depends on God a being with infinite formal reality and not on imperfect human being or Northern elites. Therefore, each individual and not another imperfect human being outside us/oneself is responsible for giving meaning to our lives.

Another fundamental question ruminating my mind is whether existence is a function of a person socio-economic status, positions, like Emirship, Obaship, and if an individual does not belong to any of these ephemeralities are we to imply that such individual does not exist. Put differently if an Oba or Emir is deposed does that translate to the ultimate termination of that individual existence as imperfect human being? Please, note the importance of this question in relation to the threat of deposition bandied about by propagandist and apologist of Northern elites who are hell-bent on preservation of their hegemony cum continuing the impoverishment of the Talakawas.

I am not saying Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II is a saint and nobody in Nigeria can make any bold claim to sainthood either. What I am against here is the call for the deposition of the Emir by JOURNALIST HANGOUT'S blindly arrogant @Babajideotitoju and his cohorts in absurdity. This is someone who should be defending free speech given his profession. Surprisingly, he talks more about the sensitivity of the Northern elites to free speech and the need to talk truth privately to criminal politicians impoverishing their own populace.

The Emir is making use of his fundamental right to free speech or freedom of expression as enshrined in the Grondnorm/Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and there are so many monarchs in Nigeria doing exactly that Oluwo of Iwo, Awujale of Ijebuland, Akiolu of Lagos just to name a few. Why is it difficult for @Babajideotitoju to instigate the removal of these Obas using his paymasters who are influential people in Southwest geopolitical zones.

Really, sometimes when I listened to statements and analyses filled with condescending flavours coming from @Babajideotitoju I have a feeling that Nigeria is an isolated country an island in the sea of primitiveness or that Northern Nigeria is an enclave in the jungle of barbarism. He @Babajideotitoju can and often critique Governors, Ministers, Presidency and Military Generals with reckless abandon without any consequencies or threats of arrest yet he has the audacity to call for, speculate or make historical nexus in relation to deposition or banishment of an Emir all in the name of protecting the sensitivity of Northern elites to criticism.

Let me make it clear here to @Babajideotitoju that there is no executive or administrative action whatsoever that can banish or exile a Nigerian citizen. Section 41. (1) of the Constitution of Nigeria provides that ''Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit therefrom.''  Universal Declaration of Human Rights Art 9. ''No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.''

The constitution of Nigeria guarantee the right to freedom of expression in chapter 4. Section 39. (1) ''Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference.''
African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights Art 7. (2) ''No one may be condemned for an act or omission which did not constitute a legally punishable offence...

''Governments that block the aspirations of their people, that steal or are corrupt, that oppress and torture or that deny freedom of expression and human rights should bear in mind that they will find it increasingly hard to escape the judgement of their own people, or where warranted, the reach of international law.''- William Hague

In conclusion nothingness has captured our being with the veil of bondage and darkness, emptiness! emptiness!! NON-EXISTENCE EXISTENCE. Nigerians this is the time to free ourselves from mental slavery and JOURNALIST HANGOUT'S appeal to tradition ad verecundiam on this specific subject matter is an horrifying thought.
