RE-ORIENTATION: DEMOCRACY IN AN EPOCH OF FALANGISM.

“For there to be betrayal, there would have to have been trust first.” ― Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games.

Obasanjo's Coalition for Nigeria reminds me of Falangism, which is a political movement originally birthed in Spain, spearheaded by a dictatorial personality, Falange Espanola, with a fascist characteristic intention to wrestle power in order to establish a corporativistic governmental arrangement. However, in Obasanjo's Falangism, the fundamental super-rationality is greed or the politics of selfishness to maintain political and socioeconomic relevance. Hegemony rather than the development of a sustainable social, economic and political democratic architecture for Nigeria is the concrete reality running deep in the cerebral cortex of members and founder of the Coalition for Nigeria.

Obasanjo typifies the characteristic of a straight-jacketed Hegemonic dictatorship within Nigeria, legitimising his own idea of good governance cum multi-party democratic arrangement on the polity while at the same time inhibiting the survival of existing political parties by condemnation. Obasanjo believes the only viable alternative idea is the Coalition for Nigeria; his pet project that has no unique social, economic and political philosophy for the realization of his grand design. Obasanjo has chosen the instrumentality of brute coercion and logical fallacy to achieve the supremacy of his pet project by advising the incumbent President not to contest @2019 using tools like guilt by association, preemption, unethical rhetorics and oversimplification cause fallacy in a attempt to hoodwink @mbuhari.

There are always dark sides to this methodology in the sense of the hollowness of intellection when we take a deep look at the framework or the master-plan presented in the speech given by Obasanjo during his registration exercise in Abeokuta as founder/member of a misnomer. This is anarchy, when a misnomer straddle the political landscape of Nigeria under the God-fatheristic, evil solemnization and tendencies of Obasanjo to seek destabilization and confusion in the polity in order to advance his own social, economic and political agenda for control and power.

When we take a look in the basket of rotten political oranges presented to us at the launching in Abuja, what did we find? We found a signification that the Coalition for Nigeria is an association that has no strategy and constructive models to rectify what their founder had invented POLITICAL CHAOS!!!. Nigerians should be asking Obasanjo and his cohorts in the Coalition for Nigeria, when do they have the right to tell us what to do?

The rot Obasanjo and his ineffectual buffoons left behind is massive that we would need significant miraculization from a Zarathustra, the omnipotent who spoke to pastors of evangelistic ministries to rescue us from the impending anarchy that Obasanjo is about to unleash on Nigerians with his grand narrative of lies and propaganda.

Here is a man with grand narratives of absolute interpretation of our social, economic and political conditions with extreme oversimplification cause fallacy, which brings to mind Jean-Francois Lyotard, rebuke of grand narratives of absolute interpretation, when he said such narratives cannot address all our perspectives because within such grand narratives are so many micro narratives and diversities. Therefore, It is my opinion that the explication of social, economic and political conditions in Nigeria could be likened to what Ludwig Wittgenstein call ''language games''. Obasanjo's viewpoints on @mbuhari administration and the establishment of Coalition for Nigeria failed the test of justification if critically examined on the pedestal whether they are natural steps to be taken toward the greater good and happiness for the majority of Nigerians or just a grandstanding to consolidate own hegemony which is a particularization adventure.

I want to say emphatically that we are uniquely positioned at a crossroads in the history of Nigeria and the choice is between evil, grand absolute narratives of Obasanjo's eight years of procrastination and banditry or stability with conscious, deliberate, incremental growth and development coming from @mbuhari in his first term as a democratically elected president. We have the freedom of choice between trust married to trustworthiness or betrayal married to  mean-spiritedness, I am for trust married to trustworthiness because I have done the risk assessment and convinced that come @2019 President Muhammadu Buhari must contest for second term of four years Insha Allah.

Our situation is closer to what Schopenheur describes as Hedgehog's dilemma an interrelationship dilemma bordering on intimacy, problem solving and pain. However, in our case it is about political stability, survivalism and governance. Do we want to have trust and close relationships with a mean-spirited, egotistic, betrayal loving Obasanjo, or our preference is for a man with substantial mutual understanding of our needs and goodwill.

This is the time for Obasanjo to keep his distance from us because he is like a porcupine with the propensity to inflict pain on Nigerians.
