DOUBLE TRAGEDY: WHEN A THIEF CALLS A THIEF A THIEF.

“For if you suffer your people to be ill-educated, and their manners to be corrupted from their infancy, and then punish them for those crimes to which their first education disposed them, what else is to be concluded from this, but that you first make thieves and then punish them.” ― Thomas More, Utopia

The failure of the farmer to arrest a thief will create confusion as to the rightful ownership of the farm leading to a situation whereby the thief can results to claiming ownership.  A farmer who delayed arresting a thief leaves room for the thief to arrest him. If a thief is not promptly apprehended on a farm by the farmer he will be emboldened to apprehend the farm owner leading to confusion?

You be thief, I no be thief.
You be robber, I no be robber.
You be armed robber, I no be armed robber. ― Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

This is the mode of argumentation moving in a wavelike motion from the mouth of Nigerian politicians in anticipation of 2019 election thereby creating a cacophony of "Glossolalia'' a phenomenon of intense political gibberish leaving the electorate to wonder in the cloud of political euphemism as to the definition of a thief.

Is corruption stealing they asked? Is bribery corruption they queried? Is dishonesty corruption they questioned? these reflections or self interrogations lead them to the obvious and generalised conclusion that most Nigerian politicians are corrupt, stealing, bribery promoting, dishonest demagogue that cannot be trusted come 2019.

In clear terms, they are all Thieves, Robbers and Political Armed Robbers.

The case of Atiku Abubakar and Nasir el Rufai is here instructive. Who is the thief? Who is the robber? Who is the armed robber? I do not have any definite answer to these questions let the electorate make their own value judgement come 2019. My advise to both political querulants is to come up with detail information and documented evidences of each other dishonourable behaviours rather than grandiose assertions on the pages of newspapers.

Oh! That reminds me of our canterkerous "National Leader" I wonder what he will think of this whole imbroglio after he had burnt his fingers navigating the labyrinth of Ondo politics in an attempt to impose his preferred candidate on Ondo people within the purview of godfatheristic self-aggrandisement forgetting that such imposition even if it was successful, his actions would lead to a phyrrich victory and a total disintergration of his political legacy. I hope Nigerians will know more or get to see detail information and documented evidences of our "National Leader" Shenanigans on the pages of newspapers as we move towards 2019?

Some people may say 2019 is far away but I disagree based on the evidences on ground and the battlements cum political enclaves created by "National Leader" coupled with alignments and realignments of political forces evidently étalage in recent times makes it abundantly vivid that people are already juggling for positions and firewalls are now being erected to prevent political virus infestation moving forward.

It is time for the electorate to start asking the fundamental questions as to who the thieves, robbers and armed robbers are within/amongst the political Juggernauts amassing to take over power come 2019 in other to avoid consternation.  That is why the altercation between Atiku Abubakar and Nasir el Rufai is here instructive let them wash their dirty linen in the public beacuse WHEN A THIEF CALLS A THIEF A THIEF it is good for the electorate to make an informed electoral decision come 2019.

“Don't let a thief into your house three times. The first time was enough. The second time was a chance. The third time means you're stupid.” ― C. JoyBell C.
