SHAMELESSNESS: THE SHAMELESS SILENCE AND GUILTY CONSCIENCE.

''A MAN MUST NOT BE WITHOUT SHAME, FOR THE SHAME OF BEING WITHOUT SHAME IS SHAMELESSNESS INDEED''- MENCIUS

Show me your friends or associates and I can tell what your character would be like, this is a maxim that speaks truth to power and if a leader is clueless you only need to examine his political, social, environment and you can guess why he/she would never manifest a higher nature.

If you have not imbibed the vitrues of honesty, dignity, and the love for country it would be impossible to aquire those virtues overnight most especially when you hobnob with pretenders to higher values.

''What is difficult to understand is that without conscious effort, nothing is possible. Conscious effort is related to higher nature. My lower nature cannot lead me to consciousness. It is blind. But when I wake up and I feel that I belong to a higher world, this is only part of conscious effort. I become truly conscious only when I open to all my possibilities, higher and lower. There is value only in conscious effort''.-Jeanne de Salzmann

Ex president Jonathan must make a conscious effort in telling Nigerians what he knew or transpired in respect of Dasukigate arms scandal, because that is the only mannerism left for him to open up all possibilities higher or lower to extricate himself from this unfolding conundrum.

What is unfortunate is the silence of the former president which represents his lower nature that is blind to genuine advice given to him by reputable people in the society, rather than do that which is morally necessary he prefers to delegate his defence on the subject matter to a hatchet man.

Most if not all of the Ex president's surbordinates who are in custody or under investigation claimed that they got their orders from the Ex president to squander funds meant for arms purchase to fight Boko Haram, for any reasonable individual it would be expected that he/she would come out vehemently either to deny with documentations or give an account of how things went to the Nigerian public.

The reverse is the case here with Jonathan, all that we heard of was a lacklustre pronouncement in the USA that looked like a ranting of an Oliver Twist always complaining of not having enough.

Jonathan must understand that the buck passing exercise would not be tolerated by Nigerians because the buck stops at his doorstep.

Magu, @efcc, @presidency, @policeng must do everything to make sure that Jonathan is made to answer or explain to us Nigerians about what transpired amongst the various players in this blood money sharing conundrum.

WHERE ARE THE FORMER SERVICE CHIEFS:

we have not heard much about the former service chiefs and their roles in the unfolding Dasukigate arms scandal, I wonder why the sudden silence in this regard. ARE THEY IMMUNE FROM PROBE?

I hope they have not fled the country to Dubai which is now a newfound heaven for politically exposed persons in Nigeria or are they in Military guardroom cooling down before they will be presented to the public for prosecution for crimes against humanity.

These are some of the political/legal questions ruminating the minds of Nigerians as we move into 2016.
