RANDOM THOUGHTS: PERISCOPE.
''To become truly great, one has to stand with people, not above them.''-charles_de_montesquieu
Nigeria is 55 and we must celebrate even if it is low keyed, despite the rough roads we have traversed thus far our togetherness as a nation is a manifestation of our potentiality for greatness. We shall be great Insha Allah.
We are no doubt a young nation but with the right purposeful leadership and our commitment as citizens we can transform the country from a third world to the first world in a single generation.
I am impressed with the news coming from fatherland, the orgy of darkness is receding, long queues at the filling station is becoming past tense, Boko Haram is disintergating, anti-corruption crusade is sending shivers down the spines of evil men, Alhamdulillah.
HAPPY 55 ANNIVERSARY NIGERIA
“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”― Plato
''The heaviest penalty for declining to rule is to be ruled by someone inferior to yourself.”― Plato, The Republic
The apathy of Nigerians in democractic engagement is one of the reasons why we had a jundiced national assembly for 16years, a national assembly that has been hibernating for 16years like a mole rat, abandoning their responsibility to thoroughly screen whosoever was/is presented as minister to be, the case of Obanikoro et al is fresh in our medulla oblongata.
Now the 8th senate, has suddenly discovered their folly. Here is their new blunder when they heard that the minister list is now with the senate president, they said it is not going to be business as usual, Aha, first they confirmed what most Nigerians knew, their dereliction of duty and disagreeable behaviour.
What is the usual old business? The answer is in the affirmative corruption! corruption!! corruption!!! deception! deception!! deception!!!
we dont want business as usual, we are not interested in old wine in new bottle, please we voted for change, things must be done differently, please we dont want to be wandering in the same dirty water all the time, wake up change is here, Nigerians are enthusiastic about this new dawn.
"As human beings, our greatness lies in being able to remake ourselves."-Mahatma Gandhi.
However we are happy that the 8th senate members are gaining knowledge of the importance of honesty, sublimity, humbleness, frugality, in governance, coupled with the proper degree of power to be exerted on the executive.
They are now getting indoctrinated with large doses of "BUHARIPISTEMOLOGY" our philosophy of change, because they are learning how to remake themselves, and in the process change our narrative "Een beter milieu begint bij jezelf" sorry for my non dutch speaking readers.
“All men make mistakes, but a good man yields when he knows his course is wrong, and repairs the evil. The only crime is pride.”―Antigone
Former Minister Of Petroleum Diezani Alison-Madueke Arrested In London, she was arrested for offences related to bribery and corruption being investigated by the UK National Crime Agency.
You can run, fake sickness, but you cant hide from the long arms of justice, Ibori, Pablo Escobar et al.
Diezani Alison-Madueke come home and face justice, avoid the psychological distress and trauma of a fugitive, do the honourable thing give up, return the looted funds.
Mark 8:36: "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul''?
