INTERPRETATIVE DENIAL AND THE QUESTION OF EXCLUDED MIDDLE.
It is an interesting time in the politico-historiography of Nigeria and I am happy to be an observer as events episodically unravel.
In my opinion there is no better moment spatiotemporally speaking to re-write the narrative of our potentially great country than during the administration of @mbuhari, this is vividly so because of the goodwill he enjoys from the populace and his own antecedence.
In one of my tweets, I wrote that the sustenance of the anti-corruption war coupled with massive infrastructure development as an objective of this administration, if it come to fruition, would make @mbuhari Nigeria's Lee Kuan Yew, who was the first Prime Minister of Singapore that transformed the country from a third world to the first world in a single generation under his leadership.
My optimism is further rekindled with the arraignment of @Bukolasaraki before a tribunal of competent jurisdiction, on criminal charges bordering on illegitimate handling as a public office holder, putting personal interest above public interest, lying under oath (asset declaration), presentation of falsehood or deception that is contrary to public interest at the code of conduct tribunal.
There might be different interpretation, definition, meaning to the above statement. I am not denying that others might hold a different opinion, since meaning is neither black or white, an absolutist approach as reflected in @Bukolasaraki statement while commenting about his recent political and legal travails, describing them as witch hunting.
The fundamental question that comes to mind is/was who is witch hunting @Bukolasaraki, since he did not mentioned or categorical by naming personality (ies), he wants us to fill in the gaps based on the political imbroglio of his past misadventure, which has always been the raison d'être of his supporters claim.
Tinubu is after him is the chorus of his supporters.
They are witch hunting me, why me, A, B, C, D, had done the same in the past and some are still doing it now, no person is prosecuting them, please note that I did not use the word offence or crime here, because @Bukolasaraki does not think he has done anything unlawful, for him falsehood and lying under oath (asset declaration) is a normal acceptable conduct.
Why me? They are witch hunting me, after 12years they just discover that I made false declaration, here again he is in denial, amnesic syndrome sets in, he has forgotten that the last 16years he was protected and cocooned by the most corrupt political party and administration in the history of Nigeria.
The charges in question are not statute barred.
It is always difficult to accept change and anti-corruption crusade is no exception, change is a choice an existential choice that we must make to advance our nation, but those against change are the purveyor of black or white reasoning, using deception and crying wolf where there is none, there argument is based on fuzzy logic with every attempt made to deny the complexity of their situation.
@Bukolasaraki, he is the creator of the quagmire he found himself, beginning with an attitude of you are for me or you are against me, a typical black or white thinking process, thereby negating all the other alternatives.
Any critical view about him is regarded as witch hunting even when those views are expressed by good thinking law abiding Nigerians whose sole aim is for the betterment of Nigeria.
This is a logical representation of @Bukolasaraki thinking methodology:
All men are witch hunter 8x(M(w)!W(x)
Tinubu is a man M(t)
Therefore Tinubu is a witch hunter W(t)
Who is witch hunting who if I may ask, who are these nebulous witch hunters, a metaphysical gorgon medusa, it seems strange to talk of witch hunting in a case related to falsehood in asset declaration form or lying under oath.
This is never about interpretation rather it is contingent on empirical verification and facts as presented by you @Bukolasaraki.
Witch hunting or not we the people of Nigeria demand that justice be done.
