NO DOG EATS DOG: IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR.

Denial as a concept is not a simplistic matter concerning conceptual definition, since there are multifaceted ways in which meanings can be attached to the concept. 

Denial can be used interchangeable within the boundaries of positive and negative descriptions depending on how, what and who is denying a specific issue. 

The reasoning for such denial obviously might be particularistic or something related to groups viewpoint. 

 However, I will attempt to define Denial for the purpose of this article as a straight jacketted mannerism by humans to avoid taking responsibility for our actions, inactions, omissions and commissions in other to escape accountability.

 Please, take cognisance of the elucidation of the concept in previous paragraph concerning interchangeability. 

Sometimes it is an escapism, an attempt to shield our fallibility, weaknesses, inferiority complex or our outright rejection of the truth refusing to accept reality.

A political denialist would do everything to deconstruct reality by initiating an alternative construct, a fantasy world in which they reside on any given subject matter. 

Mostly, in defence of political denialist position, refrence would be made to an attempt at malignment, aspertion, untrue, spearheaded by imaginary opponents who are out to discredit them for political gains.

This is obviously the issues at play with the release of the the reports of investigations by EFCC and the special investigator for CBN, JIM OBAZEE recently. 

Cocks have started crowing at the dawn of the release of the reports and so many chickens are coming home to roost with deluge of politically denialistic statements.

Aso o ba omoye mo. omoye ti rin 'hoho d'oja. 

They are all denialists. EMEFIELE, MUSTAPHA AND SADIYA with a synchronised rebuttal of the reports in the public domain. This is nothing but a paradigm well orchestrated, known to Nigerians.

Nigeria public officials, politically exposed persons caught with their pants down, have never in the history of the geographical entity accepted responsibility for their malfeasance.

I am also not optimistic about the outcome, implementation of the recommendations, for if our past sojourn along this trajectory is something to be reckoned with, I forsee a political government magic. Chess game of thrones and seasons of political networking, midnight events, to let the whole thing die a natural death, after all it is a party affair. No dog eats dog. 

We can only imagine.
